Release Update, April 12, 2022

Best Inc. released several upgrades on features in USOMS Portal as following:

Product Information Update

To avoid confusion, product information has been updated:

• The sections of Alt1 and Alt2 have been replaced by Carton. Carton level information, including CartonUPC, CartonQuantity, CartonLength(In), CartonWidth(In), CartonHeight(In), and CartonWeight(lbs), are available for clients to identify carton information when applicable. Please note: all previously provided information have been converted accordingly.
• Support up to 3 UPC/bar code for both Each and Carton.
• The MS Excel formatted template has been updated and available at: USOMS > Items > Item Upload > Template

BOM Item Creation Is Now Available

We now support BOM item creation, in addition to the existing kitting option. The previous term of KitMaster has been replaced by BOM to avoid confusion. There are two kitting options available:

• BOM. Pre-assembled kit, warehouse will need to assemble all components to Kit SKU before creating order, inventory quantity will be transferred from component SKU to kit SKU accordingly.
• SetMaster. Regular bundle which doesn’t require assemble related components, inventory is still maintained by component SKU. Customer is able to create order by the bundle SKU but warehouse will fulfill by the component SKU.

International Shipment Update- IOSS Requirement

From July 1, 2021, the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) is required for shipping goods with a value of less than €150 to EU countries. Please submit your IOSS number to your Best team account manager for one-time setup. Our system will include this information to our shipping carriers for requirement. Maximum Pallet Height Identifier for Order

• For freight shipment, clients are now able to specify the maximum pallet height. This will provide the guideline for Best fulfillment center to palletize your shipment correctly to meet yours or your customer’s shipment requirement.
• How to specify Maximum Pallet Height value to an order:
  • This new field has been added to the MS Excel formatted order creation template. Please download the latest template file at USOMS > Orders > Order Upload > click Template option to download.

Schedule Order Feature Update

The Order Scheduling feature has been updated. You are able to update scheduled orders before release date. There are two options available:

• Existing schedule change
• Early release is available for scheduled orders.

Existing Schedule Change

• For order in the results of the existing order query. Just click Edit in the Actions of the order.
• In the Edit Order window, change the date under Scheduled Release Date then click Submit to complete.
  

Early Release

• An option of Release will be available for all scheduled and not released orders.
• Click this option to release a scheduled order to fulfillment center for processing regardless the original scheduled date.

Freight Shipment Shipped Notice

A new email notification has been added to notify client once a freight shipment has been shipped. This notification is optional. Please contact your Best team account manager with valid email accounts if you would like to receive this notification.

Order Box Code Redesign for flexible Item Packaging Solution

To ensure orders will be packed as client expected, we will support additional values in BoxCode for clients to specify packing methods for items in each orders. This will increase the flexibility of packaging options when going to different platforms or channels.

Release ETA: 04/13/2022

Updates:

• The following new values will be added:
  • OEM. Items will be shipped in its original package.
  • OVERPACK. Items will be shipped within an outer box. Warehouse operation can decide what box to use.
  • WHdecide. An acronym for Warehouse Decide. The default option if no value was specified. Best fulfillment team decide how orders will be packed.  
• Client level setting will be available to specify the default order packaging option for all orders if Box Code not specified from order creation. 
• Item level’s OverPack option will be removed. The value sent via Excel template or API requests will be ignored.
